Finals – are finally over!

Posted in Group Announcements at 11:20 pm by eggnoodle

Haha, like my play on words?? … –

-Ahem–.

Anyhoo, finals are over!! Yes! The semester is over! Even better! I anticipate mine and Kenny’s sudden entrance to Advanced Orchestra, as well as a whole new schedule. (I hope our counselor didn’t move it around too much.) Ackk, my amateur skills (or rather, lack of) will definitely be scrutinized by the advanced players, so I will work hard to reach their expectations!

Now, back on the subject of finals, they really weren’t that difficult, and thank goodness! English was the one that required the most thinking for me, followed by math, science, and for history, the teacher reviewed on what was in the test, so I just paid attention to that much. For Computer Applications I had to give a PowerPoint presentation on Vietnam. Ooh, fun… In P.E we did pacers. If you’re sure what that is, you can leave a comment, and one of us will explain it.

So anyway, this is just a short post to keep you guys updated on us. I also saw that we haven’t written anything for two days! So yeah. Hehe, I do babble sometimes. Guess whooo!

P.S: I’m just signing my name so you know it’s me. If it’s not there, then the post was written by shinychopstick. Bye!

Random Question #4

Posted in Random Question at 5:22 pm by shinychopstick

Okay, before I ask ANY questions, please answer them. All the questions, in fact. For the fun of it. Urghh… isn’t it lame if I just post all these questions that go unanswered?

Well anyway,

Part I: If you could change your name to anything, what would it be?

Part II: If you could change your PERSONA to anything else, what would it be?

And finally:

Part III: If you were a K-Pop//J-Pop singer, what would your name be? (I planned to ask this because it seemed interesting. How would your name match up to the likes of “BoA” and “Koda Kumi”?)

Shinychopstick’s Own Answers:

Part I: It would be Gemma Rowen (first and middle name. I’ll keep the last name that I was born with). I just really like the name. It has a nice brown aura.

Part II: My persona, instead of being the less-talkative serious person, a more assertive helpful person. I think it would better the world, somehow.

Part III: Haha, this is what I think of to put myself to sleep! I waste so much brain energy in class and such for this. Here are some options (that are purely mine! I had to ponder for so long!): Lia, Lila, Lily, Lullaby, ‘Lit, and so much more that I can’t think of at this moment.

Anyway, I thought these would be some fun questions. It seems better to say it now than in person.

Shinychopstick’s Music: Fahrenheit

I’ve been meaning to add them sooner or later, and I just got a reminder while watching It Started With A Kiss 2. Geez, it seems like Aaron matured. Well anyway, it’s the Taiwanese boy band: Fahrenheit! (This picture DOES NOT feature any of them at their greatest, but it has their names and degrees and stuff) They’re known for their singing and acting. Well, I have to admit that the singing’s not the greatest, nor the dancing (definitely not at DBSK level) but it’s still quite enjoyable. They have some good upbeat songs like “Chao Xu Huan Ni” from Hana Kimi, but they also have some good ballads like “Zhan You” from the Tokyo Juliet OST. Jiro Wang is known for his acting in such dramas like It Started With A Kiss and Hana Kimi, while Wu Zun stars as the leads in Hana Kimi and Romantic Princess. Calvin Chen and Aaron Yan play lesser roles in dramas (Calvin – Romantic Princess, Aaron – ISWAK). Well, I just wanted to say that lately Aaron seems so…matured. Not so little anymore. How come the young’uns always grow so fast? Anyway, check out their latest album “Two-Sided Fahrenheit” also.

Finals!

Posted in Group Announcements at 8:48 pm by shinychopstick

Just being the RESPONSIBLE person I am and reminding you all to STUDY for finals on Wednesday and Thursday.

I dread it too =___=. I must be one of the laziest people ever, but still, GOOD GRADES!

We should help each other study and all. After that, SECOND SEMESTER!!! Fresh, clean slate. Plus, the addition of Eggnoodle and Littlefluteplayer in orchestra!

Geez, I should really study. I forgot most of the Science, Geometry, History, and English stuff!!!

maybe later…

Shinychopstick’s: Dramas Currently Watching!

Posted in What we like at 1:51 pm by shinychopstick

I’m watching TW-Dramas, K-Dramas, and J-Dramas, right now! Here, to tell you some prominent ones. (Oh, by the way, they’re all currently airing.)

TW-Drama: Well, of course it’s It Started With a Kiss 2. I tend to get really annoyed if I don’t finish out a second part to a series (besides Goong S, but I don’t think that counts). Now I’m waiting for the next subbed episode to be out. HILARIOUS AWKWARD MOMENTS! I had to cover my eyes at times. I recommend it for anyone who has watched the first one.

K-Drama: It’s a good one on KBS called Bad Love//Cruel Love. It stars Kwon Sang Woo from Stairway to Heaven fame. There are really thematic moments, where I am literally at the edge of my seat. Sometimes you disagree with their choices, but that’s what makes it so great! If you want to watch it, it’s on TV (with basic cable in LA area) on channel 12 at 9:40 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays. They don’t show the whole episode though. Sometimes they cut out parts, and you’ll have to figure out what happened from the beginning too.

J-Drama: It’s Honey and Clover//Hachimitsu to Kuroba and it’s really fun with a fresh aura. It was a famous manga, then movie, and now it’s also a drama series. I only watched the first episode so far, but it seems interesting. Mostly, it follows the love triangles of this group of students at an art institute. Can’t wait for the next episode! I Recommend!
